Lewis-Manning Hospice Care hosts the Candles in the Community

Lewis-Manning Hospice Care is hosting its iconic Candles in the Community events throughout November. These evenings see the public write a personal dedication to a loved one on a candle for a small donation. These donations result in a heart-stirring display of candles.

The events take place across some of Dorset’s most picturesque landmarks – Wimborne Minster, Swanage Bandstand and the final flagship event at Poole Quay. With Christmas just around the corner, it’s a great opportunity for local communities to come together and reflect in beautiful spaces full of light and music.

Funds raised from the event will go directly towards Lewis-Manning’s services, including its hospice at home, bereavement counselling and complementary therapy.

Event Details:

Candles in the Community – Dorset-wide, November 2026

· Candles on the Green – Wimborne Minster Sat 14 Nov, 6-8pm

· Candles by the Sea – Swanage Bandstand Thurs 19 Nov, 5:30-7pm

· Candles on the Quay – Poole Quay Thurs 26 Nov, 4-8pm
