Local sports leaders and community groups are invited to share ideas and help make a difference.

How can we keep teenage girls and young women involved in sport, and how can local clubs support mental health and wellbeing?

These are the key questions the Wimborne Sports and Active Leisure Forum will explore at its next meeting on Wednesday 4 November.

Dee Swinton, Head of Breaking Boundaries, and Andy Coleman, CEO of Dorset Cricket, will share their experiences of encouraging girls and young women to stay involved in cricket.

Fiona Pawsey, Chair of Wimborne BID, will also discuss her experience as a mental health first aider within a running club, highlighting how local sports groups can help people feel connected and supported.

The meeting will also include updates on the Active Wimborne Facebook group, Active Wimborne Website and Queen Elizabeth Leisure Centre.
