Family Obstacle Course Comes to Hampreston Lodge, Wimborne

At Axis RDY our aim is to get people moving, and our fun-filled family obstacle course ‘The Extra Mile’ will do just that. Designed for all ages and abilities to have a go at walking, running, crawling, climbing, and jumping their way around our 400m course.

Not able to take on all the obstacles? No problem, skip any that you can’t do or watch alongside family, and just tackle the challenges that you can do; there is plenty of fun in many forms around the course.

Managing Director of Axis RDY, Tim Harris has been running these events at local farms and schools over the past 18 months and is delighted to have got nearly 1000 people moving over the past events. Having young children of his own, he wanted to find away

of making running and moving together more fun for his family.

‘These events are great at getting parents and grandparents moving, following their children around the course. It’s inspiring for the kids to see the adults exercising with them but we also find that the parents are inspired by their own children.’

Tim is pleased to be able to host these events at Hampreston Lodge, Wimborne, where a specifically designed course is set up in the picturesque, contained and safe environment of Hampreston.

‘Being able to share this natural and beautiful site with others helps us get more people active in the outdoors which has a positive impact on the mental health of the whole family’.

Fun obstacles include:

• Cargo Net Crawl
• Tyre Run
• Barrier Climb
• Balance Challenge
• Colour Clouds
• Water Spray
• Hay Bale Tunnel
• PLUS added special effects for Halloween
